Getting ready to get ready.

It seems like much of what we do on the farm is “getting ready to get ready.”  There is so much prep work required just to be ready to a job.  I remember reading a woodworking book to learn how to use a router (for the uninitiated, it’s a tool for making mouldings, joints, etc.).  The author said “Router work is 95% prep time and 5% router time.”

That’s how it feels around here lately.
